Scout Camp

One of the most exciting things about turning 11 is new scouts.  Bailey is so excited for camping and being a big boy.  He loves that kind of stuff and is stuck with parents that don't care for sleeping on the ground.  His leader sent a few pic this morning and they were too cute to not share.

This is classic Bailey... a bag of chips in hand.  Bailey thinks chips are a food group all by themselves!

Strong just like Daddy :)

There are only two boys in his group, that doesn't leave much room for lounging around camp, it's hard to pass the buck when there are so few to pass it to.

He had so much fun, but was eaten alive, even with bug spray.  When he came home, I  wondered if he came down with mumps over night.  His poor face was swollen for 2 days.  Yikes... needless to say, there will be a new kind of bug spray before the next camp!

I'm thankful for leaders who are willing to take my boys and teach them.

#1. Yes, chips are their own food group. Bailey is smart.

#2. Have you heard that Listerine put in a spray bottle and sprayed on or around you is a good bug barrier? I've heard of it but not tried it.

Chips a food group? Weird. Must run in the family...

Looks like fun Bailey! More bug spray is a must...those bites were huge!
